The long Cherished dreams of the
tribals of Bihar was realised on November 15,2000 with the birth of the
Jharkhand as the 28th state in India. Parliament puts it's seal on the Bihar
reorganisation bill 2000,for the creation of jharkhand state on
august 11,2000.The acting chief justice of of the jharkhand high court
Vinod Kumar administered the Oath of the Office to Governor Prabhat
Kumar ,Who in turn administered the Oath of the office to Mr.Babulal
Marandi as the first chief minister of the state.The New state
carved out from the statae of Bihar has 18 diatricts,14 lok sabha
seats,81 assembly seats. Jharkhand has an area of
79,714 Sq Km with 2.69 Crore population.27.67 % of it's population is in
the tribal area., 15 % Harijans and 40 %
OBC's.The State will have the separate high court at the states capital
at Ranchi. Struggle for the creation of the Jharkhand state was waged by
the adivasis of the chhotanagpur Plateau-santhal parganas belt for
well over half century.Initially led by jaipal singh -an oxford educated
prince who captained the Indian hockey team to it's first gold medal in
1928.Olympics-the tribal communities of the region had been demanding freedom
from the exploration. The Jharkhand state is thus the truncated
vergion of the original jharkhand dream .Jharkhand is the mini India or
more correctly the concentrated India .It has Hills,Plains,Fields &
Jungles with the variety of the people living together for ages.

by politics till recently No single community language & Religion dominates. In
the mid of all these diversity there is unity and that is Jharkhand.
Thus Jharkhand has everything what it needs is anew Philosophy
to activate ,Motivate and inspire to produce results.
