History |

Arunachal Pradesh Has Practically
no Written records of its history ,except a number of historical ruins
and some oral literature. From these extensive ruins ,it emanates that
the land comprising whole of the north bank of Brahmaputra up to the
foothills was inhabited by politically and culturally advance people. subsequent
exploration and excavations have identified the ruins as dating
approximately from the early Christian era. the historical evidence
indicates, that the not only was the area well-known ,but the
people living here had close relations with the rest of the
country.Arunachal Pradesh Acquired an independent political status in
1972,when it was upgraded as union territory. it became the 24 state of Indian
union on Feb 20,1987 .
