Malhar is the granddaddy of all Mumbai college festivals, with over sixty events and workshops and with colleges participating from all across the country. If this is the first time you are hearing about it, come see it for yourself this year on the 14th and 15th of August. You won't regret it. If you've been here before, you know no amount of words can quite succeed in capturing all that is associated with Malhar. To get a sense of that, to relive Malhar, we'd have to get together for a cuppa tea, turn our chairs around, throw our arms about and talk in raised voices, or scream into the sea in the midst of bone drenching rain and 30 kmph storm winds blowing our thoughts away into another place and another time.

And though we can't recreate Malhar within the confines of this introduction, we can tell you what we are doing with this tradition of fun and competitiveness. A great part of this workforce came to be associated with Malhar after its twenty fifth year, so we are the second generation Malhar makers, and we are putting it all together to deliver a second generation Malhar. Expect new, more exciting, and more challenging Events; expect tauter Management and more entertainment on campus than ever before.

Though every new generation is brash and rebellious, and we are brash and rebellious in our own way, none of us have forgotten that it is YOU guys that come along every year and make Malhar the grand party we all love. We are looking out to involve you even more in the festival you have made a success of because we owe it to you.

To challenge us and add to the thrill of Malhar, we have picked the theme The Fourth Dimension: It's about Time so we can all be little Godlings playing around with the past, the present and the future and muddling them up and reinventing them and refashioning them as we want it. In short, we are letting you play with Time, and giving you a hundred different ways of spending your time at Malhar, from winning prestigious prizes over other collegians at Events, learning tricks and professional trades from experts at our Workshops, to soaking in the atmosphere.

So come immerse yourself in the fun, the glamour, the excitement and the freshness that comes with a reinvented Malhar. We knew we couldn't do justice to this year's festival in words, which is why we are going to try no further - come see it for yourself. At Malhar this year : It's All Happening!
