Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

The institute of chartered financial analysts of India (ICFAI) .Hydarabad conducts a 3 year certificate programme leading to the title of chartered financial analyst (cfa). This programme offers specialization, in areas related to mutual fund, merchant banking, money market, international finance, port folio management, lease financing and mergers etc.The training is done in three steps :preliminary inter and final. The programme can be stretch from minimum of three years to a maximum of 7 years. Contact classes are held in all major cities. The course material are mailed to the students at regular intervals and examination are conducted in the major cities. ICFAI in collaboration with some other educational institute conducts the two year evening programme leading to CFA status.

Eligibility:
Selection is done on the basis of entrance test conducted in the major cities. MBA'S, CA'S ,CWA'S, bank officers and civil services personnel can get direct entry to the primary stage. Entrance examination are announced in October/ November and the test conducted in the January of the next year. 

Job market:
Qualified cfa's can find suitable placements in the financial service sector. Multinationals finance companies, consultancy services, exim bank, corporate group, insurance companies, investment banks, commercial banks, portfolio management firms etc .are healthy hunting ground for cfa. with the teeming growth in finance sector, The prospects for cfa are vibrant and cheerful.
